pdfy
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
pdfy makes PDFs from pages you choose in your browser. It does not send page content, page URLs, or generated PDFs to the developer or to a pdfy server.
Information used to make a PDF
When you ask pdfy to save or preview a page, it uses that tab’s title, URL, and rendered content to generate a PDF. If enabled, it includes the title and URL in the PDF’s header and footer. It may temporarily scroll the page, load lazy images, and adjust page styles to capture the full content. These actions may cause the page itself to load resources from its website as it normally would.
PDFs and downloads
The generated PDF is held temporarily in browser memory for preview or download. If you save it, your browser writes the file to the location you choose or to your Downloads folder. pdfy does not upload the PDF, page content, or page URL to the developer or to a pdfy server.
Saved preferences
pdfy saves your PDF preferences, including any optional custom header label, using Chrome Storage Sync. Chrome may sync those preferences through your Google account according to your Chrome sync settings. pdfy does not put page URLs, page content, or generated PDFs in Chrome Storage Sync. You can change or reset preferences in the extension.
Tracking and sharing
pdfy does not track browsing history, run analytics, or use page information for advertising. It does not sell or share your page content or PDFs with the developer or third parties. Information from a page you choose is used only to provide the PDF capture feature.
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
